Google+ Now Supports SMS Notifications
Google has been consistently upgrading its social network platform “Google+”, to make it as popular as the rival Facebook. Facebook and Google have given special emphasis to mobile phone users. While Facebook is already a popular application among different mobile platforms, Google + is also simplifying things to their mobile users.
The latest update from Google allows users of Google+ keep up-to-date via SMS. To make SMS notifications active, users need to verify their phone number from the settings page (gear icon) in the Google+ mobile site.
Another important feature that Google+ update brings is that users can now share photos, post updates or explore the content in the Google+ mobile site by simply visiting “plus.google.com” on their phones. Interesting part to Google+ users is SMS Notification update is available for users on different platforms, which also includes Windows Phone and BlackBerry.
Now Google+ users can able to upload their photos directly from their mobile phones. “With Google+, you do not need to depend on wires or cables, to share your pictures – you can quickly share life as it happens with friends and family,” says Google in a blog post.
Slight change is given to Google+ mobile website. Google says in its blog post”We have included a common action in all pages so that it’s easy to post updates or switch between circles so that you only see the content from people you like. If you like something, go ahead and +1 or reshare it directly from the stream. The end result is a mobile site that allows you to share the important moments, from any device, anywhere”.
